In 1909 Denmark had a national exhibition in Aarhus. The National Exhibition was an exhibition covering industry, craftsmanship and culture. It displayed examples of what Denmark was capable of within these areas in 1909. A total of 1,850 exhibitors offered their products for display. The exhipition was removed, but because of pictures and maps it has been possible to create a 3D version of the exhibition.
The 3D version can now be viewed on a computer screen in The Old City (Den gamle by). On the computer screen, you can see texts written by historians of the Old City, the 500 images from the Land exhibition, oral reports and movie clips. Rune Nielsen, Digital Urban Living assistant professor, is behind the 3D exhibition among others. You can see the 3D exhipition at The Old City in Aarhus or online at: http://www.byhistorie.dk/landsudstillingen/ . The exhibition is unfortunately only in Danish.
